Love a senior horse - donate once or monthly 〰️

This is where your generosity can make a world of difference. By contributing to our Sunset Horse Care Program, you can help ensure that our aging horses, some of whom have been with us for decades, receive the high-quality nutrition they require in their sunset years.

Your contribution will not only nourish their bodies but also warm their hearts, knowing they are loved and valued.

Here's how you can help:

  1. Make a one-time donation of any amount to support our Sunset Horse Care Program. Remember that each bag of special feed costs $20, and $60 will feed one senior horse for a little over a whole week. $220 will feed a senior horse for a month.

  2. Set up an automatic monthly gift to sponsor the feed and care for our many older horses. Or specifically for one of the horses in the photos below. By donating monthly you, will provide consistent comfort to a precious rescued horse as they live out their lives at Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue.

  3. Dedicate a donation of any amount in honor of someone in your life that needs, or needed, that extra love and attention during their golden years. When you choose to dedicate a gift, you have the opportunity to write a personal note and send a digital card to your special someone.

At Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue, we believe that every horse, regardless of age, deserves a chance at a happy and healthy life. We have been tirelessly rescuing and caring for horses since 1997, and many of our equine companions have been with us since the early years. They are now senior horses who deserve to live out their sunset years in comfort and contentment.

Our senior horses require easy-to-chew and digest food like alfalfa pellets, and senior horse pellets. However, this level of care comes at a cost, as each 50 lb bag of senior horse feed costs nearly $20 and each horse will go through about almost 3 bags per week. With 33 horses on pellets right now, and another 60 horses who will soon need special diets too, our pelleted feed expenses will only increase.
